Rose Gold
Rose Gold
I've always loved the color of rose gold jewelry. It's soft and romantic and reminds me of days gone by. It was popular in Russia during the beginning of the nineteenth century, so it's also known as Russian gold. The color comes from the amount of copper content mixed with the gold.
Going with that theme I chose to design one of the newest pieces in those colors, and named it...you guessed it...."Rose Gold"

I chose Gold Rush, Soie Cristale Silk in #0015, and black floss. It would be easy to change the colors. The 2 awesome ladies who proof my books, Dorothy Lounsbury and Irene Ashkenas have stitched them in different colors. I'll put pictures up when they are completed. Wait till you see it in silver and turquoise!
There are lots of Amadeus using Gold Rush, so there is quite a bit of dimension in the design.
It was loads of fun to stitch!
